What Is a COMPASS Node?
The big idea — done-for-you trading that never touches your money.
Welcome to the COMPASS Nodes Academy. By the end of these six short lessons you’ll understand exactly how your money is being traded, why it’s safe, and how to read everything happening on your own screen. No jargon left unexplained — we promise.
The problem every other option has
If you want your crypto to be actively traded but you’re not a full-time trader, you’ve historically had three bad choices:
- Copy-trading pools mix your money with strangers and a manager who holds custody.
- Vault products make you deposit your funds into someone else’s smart contract.
- DIY bots make you become a systems engineer — servers, code, 3am maintenance.
Every one of them asks you to give something up: your custody, your control, or your weekends.
What a Node actually is
A COMPASS Node connects our battle-tested trading engines to your own exchange account. You keep your keys. You keep your funds. You grant us a special trade-only key that can place trades on your behalf — but is physically incapable of withdrawing or moving your money. We proved that on-chain before we ever offered this to a single person.
You pay a flat monthly subscription. While it’s active, your Node trades your account around the clock. If you ever cancel, the trading simply stops and every cent stays exactly where it always was: in your account, under your keys.
Key takeaways
- A Node = done-for-you trading on your own self-custody account.
- Our trade-only key can trade but can never withdraw — enforced by the exchange.
- Flat monthly subscription; cancel anytime and your money never moves.
